DECEMBER - To mark both the 750th anniversary of the foundation of Damazan bastide and the 20th year of the D.C.C

The DCC Xmas Show On Thursday December 17th at 8.30pm at the Salles des Fętes in Damazan Our President-Founder, Jean-Claude is putting on a 2 hour show called

DAMAZAN for ALL SEASONS

VICTOR HUGO ( and the rest ) et les autres

based on some 30 poems (acted on stage) by V. Hugo of course, but also by some other great names in French letters, by Gascon writers and by himself (in English, Gascon and French) about Damazan through the ages, from its foundation(1259) down to the present day. Admission €5. Free drinks and cakes after the show. Please come and support JC and DCC.

OCTOBER Last match of the season Sunday 4th against Nutfield. Annual General Meeting Saturday 24th at Hotel des Associations 2.30pm, with meal and presentations at 11.30 for12noon "L'Auberge Damanzais" (the old "Gambetta")

SEPTEMBER Lots of high class cricket at Damazan over the following weeks with the Regional Semi-Final of the National League - Bordeaux v Tarn on Sunday 13th., Aquitaine v Midi-Pyrenees on Sunday 20th, and , the Final of the National League on Sunday 27th - reports www.cricket-sw-france.org

AUGUST On the weekend 15-16th TWO Semi Finals of the Siddals Cup. On the Saturday Noe-Gascogne play Nordeaux, and, Sunday Tarn play Eymet. Results & reports on www.cricket-sw-france.org

The DCC re-arranged fixture with Toulouse is now to be played on August 30th

JULY What a week in store the 12th to the 19th. EVERYBODY CAN ENJOY - Members/Guests and Spectators

France U-19 Team play games - at Damazan - on 12th v Midi-Pyrenees Select XI, then, 14th v Aquitaine Select XI, in preparation for the ICC European U19 Championship.

On the 16th, DCC play the long standing Annual touring match v Dorking - with the celebratory meal at the Gambetta, for players and members.

On the 19th, DCC play hosts to a Bordeaux CC XI, which offers the long delayed chance to catch up with some old acquaintances.

JUNE

AT LAST !! another game. We play Armagnac-Bigorre on the 28th, & Pete Mackenzie gives an Umpire "masterclass" with his sound decisions and uncompromising control see Match Reports page

MAY

With the weather and opposition commitments "taking a chunk" out of our fixtures, Captain Dave Matthews arranged Nets and Practise matches to fill the voids. The first two days were absolutely excellent, good attendance, lots learned, AND the Bonus of some fine new talented members.

APRIL

The NEW MAT has been layed - and looks GREAT ! - see the website Photo gallery - well done to all members, particularly John and the hardy team who spent their time to ensure the flattest base, and fattest bellies (thanks for the teas Sheila!), over the four days work.

MARCH

The 20th ANNIVERSARY of Damazan CC., ( and 750th of Damazan the Town ) and 20th of ACCSO will be celebrated on Sunday 12th JULY and Tuesday 14th JULY, predominantly with 2 x 50 over matches between the French U19's Team v an Aquitaine XI, and Pyrenees XI. We are planning and hoping the local Mairie will consider some other joint activity to celebrate the dual anniversaries of the Year.
